Wireless solution provider, Harris Stratex has reported a Q1 loss of $ 7.8 million mainly due to restructuring and other one-time charges. Excluding these charges the company’s loss is seen at $ 800,000 or one penny per share.
A year ago the company had reported profit of $ 6.5 million or 10 cents per share.
Revenues too dipped from $ 195.8 million last year to $ 120 million by the end of Q1.
"The macroeconomic environment remains challenging and continues to constrain our revenue growth potential. However, we are seeing stabilization in North America, continued strength in Asia Pacific and even early indications of potential growth in countries hardest hit by this downturn," said President and CEO Harald Braun in a statement.
Harris Stratex is present in the WiMAX services market in India and has bagged a contract to deploy WiMAX for BSNL in Kerala through its association with ICOMM. |
