R&D Magazine recently awarded Huawei with an R7D 100 Award for its advanced Optix OSN 6800/OSN 3800 wavelength division multiplexer.
The solution which is also approved by IBM for GDPS/STP applications, is able to provide dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) for independent data channels using any protocol.
The unique feature of the product is that it places each data channel on a different wavelength (frequency) of light, enabling operators to send numerous channels of data over the same fiber thereby allowing the operator to save on cost for fibre. |
