Mindtree introduces new real-time video-stitching algorithm for video surveillance applications

Bangalore-based Mindtree Ltd today unveiled a new real-time video stitching algorithm enabling stitching of videos from up to four co-located cameras placed either horizontally or vertically. This way the field of view is increased and thereby the viewer can have a better awareness of the situation.

 

The new algorithm which is optimized on Intel and Texas Instruments platforms works on 5 % scene overlap.

 

“MindTree’s real-time video stitching algorithm has been delivered by developing patent-pending, low-complexity algorithms,” said MindTree President and CEO - R&D Services, Vinod Deshmukh. “Our customers can pick from a suite of video analytics algorithms that include algorithms for display enhancement, video content analysis and video search and summarization to build a complete solution that meets their requirements,” he added.

 

The company’s video surveillance portfolio comprises of video analytics software, intelligent video management software and platforms.
