MapmyIndia introduces navigational system for superbikes; also launches ‘Navitainment’ gizmos

Leading navigational player MapmyIndia has come up with ‘TrailBlazer’ navigational system for superbikes targeted towards motorbiking enthusiasts and groups.

The system covers 620 cities of India, is waterproof and has an FM transmitter broadcasting turn-by-turn voice directions to FM radios within a particular range. The company claims that on long road trips the system can direct an entire group of bikers. Ravel destinations and highway routes are also preloaded on the system.

Users can also use the system as an audio player. It is priced at Rs 18,990.

Additionally the company also launched a ‘Navitainment’ gadget, MapmyIndia ZX150 Deluxe preloaded with maps of 620 cities of India and having a 5 inch touch screen, FM transmitter, Bluetooth, hands-free, music video playback, e-book reader, photo browser and reverse camera support. It can also serve as a car music system. The device can also be paired with the mobile phone and calls can be received on the car speaker.

Another new product which is a GPS device for cars, MapmyIndia Black Box can be connected to the screen of the in-dash car audio-video system to offer directions over voice prompts. It comes as an accessory with Mitsubishi Cedia and Ford Endeavour. It also supports popular models such as Skoda, VW, BMW and Audi.

MapmyIndia also launched National Motoring Atlas priced at Rs 290 and offering maps of national and state road networks, states and cities of India.
