Tata Group company, Tata Communications unveiled its largest data centre in India located at Pune and spread over 55,000 net square feet. The data centre is capable of offering services such as Co-location, Managed Hosting & Storage and a suite of complementary services including Managed Security Services and CDN services.
The centre will reside on Tata Communications’ Tier-1 IP backbone enabling it to provide high capacity Internet, MPLS and global Ethernet services.

The Centre will provide a state-of-the-art infrastructure for supporting mission critical environments, with advanced cooling, power, redundancy, and sustainability features to ensure that our client’s critical systems and applications are readily available while optimizing energy efficiency. The Centre has enough resources to double its area to be able to continue to serve the future needs of our customers. The launch of this datacenter is a demonstration of Tata Communications commitment to its India and International customers to support their business needs while providing end-to-end solution for connectivity, storage and hosting capabilities,” said Mr. Sunil Joshi– President, India, and APAC & MENA Regions at Tata Communications Limited.
The Centre will serve hosting, storage and connectivity needs of large enterprises and Small and Medium Business in the region. It will also serve as disaster recovery facility for enterprises which are located on other areas including neighbouring countries of India.
The company has invested Rs 125 crore in this facility and plans to increase this to Rs 500 crore in three years.
