Longcheer forays into Indian market with its range of wireless handsets and services

Singapore stock exchange listed Longcheer marked its India presence with launch of its range of wireless handset products and services. Its product portfolio comprises of products and services in mobile handsets designs, complete mobile handsets, wireless communication, data communication products, mobile broadband technology and mobile internet applications.

In India the company will be headed by Manu Nagar who served as National Sales Head at Mediatek. On the launch, he said, “The Indian telecom industry has witnessed an unprecedented growth in 2009 with the Indian mobile handset market touching 100.9 million units by the end of last year. The Indian consumers are now demanding handsets which cater to specific Indian requirements. We will address this need by designing unique handsets for India in India.” 

Others in the management include Dr. Du Junhong, Executive Chairman of Longcheer Holdings Limited, who has been Awarded Top 10 Most Influential Business Leaders of Shanghai in 2007. 

Mr. Michael Fu, Vice President, International Sales, Longcheer said, “With the tele-density in India at 46.32%, we are extremely optimistic about the vast untapped market in India.” 

Its partners include Qualcomm, Mediatek, Infineon and Datang.
