HP Integrity customers will now be able to leverage advantages of Intel’s latest quad-core processors as the new Intel Itanium 9300 processor known as Tukwila will now be integrated into HP’s Integrity Servers.
HP says the new processors offer features such as advanced virtualization, business continuity and automation capabilities of the HP-UX 11i operating environment.
“The HP Integrity Superdome server running HP-UX 11i allows Pella to easily scale to support our continued business growth while lowering the risk associated with seasonal demand,” comments Jim Thomas, director, IT Operations, Pella. “We look forward to further innovations and enhancements to the HP Integrity platform that will allow us to realize even higher efficiency and boost our bottom line.”
Telecom player, Telefónica uses HP Integrity servers for its data centre transformation in Miami.
“We upgraded our Miami data center to better meet the mission-critical demands of our rapidly growing business in Latin America and the United States,” says Victor Carreno, director, Engineering, Telefónica USA. “With HP Integrity and HP-UX 11i as the backbone of our infrastructure, we are able to provide highly resilient and secure services to our customers, while reducing our own data center costs and footprint.” |
