BSNL earmarks Rs 384 cr towards network expansion in NE

PSU BSNL aims to expand its coverage in the North East region with ultimate plan to rope in more than 4 lakh subscribers in the region.

It has planned a capex of Rs 384 crore towards expanding the target.

"During 2010-11, BSNL plans to add additional capacity of 4.16 lakh connections and 843 new mobile base stations in the North East. There are also plans to provide 40,000 broadband connections in the region," said the company.
