Central Europe-based GTS Central Europe (GTS CE) announced expansion of its data centre infrastructure namely in countries including the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Romania. In addition the company will also open a new data centre in Brno in the Czech Republic.
In the current year, the company plans to add 500 square meters at the Piaseczno Data Center and the opening in April of a new facility in Prague with a surface area totaling 700 square meters. GTS’ existing infrastructure includes more than 6,000 square meters and capacity for more than 10,000 servers.
“We are the only telecom operator in the region which offers commercial data center services to its customers,” says Ignacio Irurita, CTO at GTS CE. “Looking at the increasing demand for data storage in the CEE region we decided to be responsive to our customers’ needs. The investments we have made in our facilities enable us to offer our customers more capacity and, as a result, give GTS CE a competitive advantage in the data center market of central and eastern Europe.”
GTS’ data center product portfolio includes: server hosting (managed and unmanaged), co-location (space, racks, environment), security and storage (Firewalls, IDS, storage), business continuity solutions and applications, such as database management, managed e-mail/MS exchange, storage, and backups. |
