Uninor decides not to bid for 3G spectrum; Unitech mulls demerging non-core business units

Uninor which is jointly owned by Norway’s Telenor and Indian real estate major Unitech group’s Unitech Wireless has decided not to bid for 3G spectrum.

Additionally Unitech group is also planning to demerge non-core businesses including telecom to unlock value for shareholders, reports news agency PTI. The report adds that IDFC and UBS have been appointed as advisors for the demerger process.
