Bharti Airtel launched a new offer for its broadband subscribers enabling upgrade to higher speeds for free. Under the new scheme subscribers currently opting for services of speeds 64 kbps, 128 kbps and 256 kbps will be upgraded to 512 kbps.
Those subscribing to 512 kbps and 1 mbps plans will be upgraded to 1 mbps and 2 mbps respectively. All these upgrades will be completed by June 2010 said the company.
Additionally the operator also launched ‘Impatience Plans’ which offer broadband services of speed 4 mbps for Rs 899 per month. This plan will be available in Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Chennai and Bangalore.
Speaking on the occasion, K Srinivas, Joint President-Telemedia Services, Bharti Airtel said, “We are delighted to provide superior internet browsing experience to our customers through these high speed plans. Massifying broadband experience in India has been the pivotal to Airtel’s strategy for Broadband. These initiatives bring in a new paradigm for broadband in India”.
