Tata Indicom announced the launch of prepaid-based weekly plans for its BlackBerry users with two options offered to users namely the Blackberry Messaging Bundle and BlackBerry Internet Bundle to choose from, according to the customer’s requirement for e-mail, instant messaging, social networking and internet browsing.

Blackberry Messaging Bundle and BlackBerry Internet Bundle are available at a monthly package of Rs 299/- , Rs 900/- and weekly package of Rs 85/- and Rs 250/- respectively.

Announcing the launch of Prepaid Services and Weekly Plans, Mr.  Sunil Batra, President - Operations, Tata Teleservices, said “There are 2 firsts: first is that Tata Indicom is now offering Prepaid BlackBerry services to customers and the second first which is the Industry First :that of a weekly plan for BlackBerry customers opting for prepaid services. Offering weekly services stems from our insight, that prepaid segment is highly cost conscious and offering them weekly plans will liberate them from monthly commitments. Also we do realize that customer’ service preferences change often and offering weekly plans that suit their pocket and offers flexibility to change service options and keep up with latest social trends is sure going be well received with our prepaid user segment.”

Under BlackBerry Messaging Bundle service plan, customers get unlimited access to e-mail and instant messaging.  It allows customers to access as many as ten email accounts on Hotmail, Yahoo Mail, Google Mail and chat on popular messengers like Windows Live Messenger, Google Talk and Yahoo Messenger.
