MTNL launches UK-based ROK’s iPlayer Mobile Video services

UK-based ROK Entertainment Group and Indian PSU, MTNL announced on Tuesday the launch of ROK’s mobile video service, iPlayer in the Indian market.

The services are priced at Rs 30 per month and will enable MTNL’s mobile subscribers to receive, streamed or for download, up to 90 video clips per month to include live breaking news, daily astrology predictions, Bollywood news, Bollywood music, sports news, comics and comedy clips on their mobile phones by visiting http://mtnl.rokd.tv

“This MTNL-version of ROK’s iPlayer is a new mobile entertainment service which we have developed specifically for India” said Jonathan Kendrick, Chairman and CEO of ROK “and we are very excited to be launching the service with MTNL and because iPlayer offers such excellent value for money with regards to mobile entertainment, we look forward to significant subscription uptake.”
