After BSNL, MTNL & TTSL, Airtel too ties up with Novatium to push broadband services

Chennai-based Novatium which has positioned itself as one of the pioneers of low cost computing terminals provider entered into another strategic partnership on Wednesday, this time with leading private operator, Airtel.

 

Airtel will now offer Novatium’s competitively priced computing terminals along with its broadband services. The terminal will be branded as Airtel Net PC and will be on offer as part of a cash back offer of Rs.4,500 after 24 months of usage as well as one month buy-back guarantee.

 

Airtel has come up with three plans as part of the partnership. The first plan offers Airtel Net PC Plus for an upfront price of Rs.4,999 that includes  Nova Navigator console, USB keyboard and a mouse. Plan B offers the terminal for upfront price of Rs.8,999 that includes  Nova Navigator console, USB keyboard, a mouse and 15 inch LCD monitor.

Plan C offers Net PC for upfront price of Rs.10,999 including Nova Navigator console, USB keyboard, a mouse, 15 inch LCD monitor and 169 GB Hard disk drive.

 

On the occasion, Mr. Vikas Singh, CMO-Telemedia Services, Bharti Airtel said, “Our partnership with Novatium for the launch of Net PC Plus reinforces our strategic intent to enhance broadband experience for our customers by offering innovative and collaborative products. This managed computing service adds to Airtel’s existing portfolio of services that harness the power of cloud computing. The initiative will on one hand help individual, businesses users save on recurring costs and help spur broadband uptake by making user experience simpler and more affordable.”

 

Mr. Alok Singh, Chief Executive Officer, Novatium Solutions Pvt. Ltd. said, “India is on the verge of witnessing a computing revolution and we hope to be its engine. Nova NetPC Plus coupled with Bharti Airtel Limited has the potential to revolutionize the entire computing market. We are getting encouraging responses from subscribers and expect tremendous growth in the current fiscal. The vision of Novatium, he added, is to provide simple and affordable computing for the next billion.”

 

The three plans come with a bundled Airtel broadband connection offering 512 kbps speed at Rs.999 monthly rental.

 

Novatium is under similar partnership with other broadband service providers as well such as BSNL< MTNL and Tata Teleservices.
