DoT appoints internal panel to review TRAI recommendations

With some of the operators crying foul over the new 2G recommendations announced last week, the DoT has formed a committee to examine the recommendations of regulator TRAI on spectrum management and licensing framework.

Mr M P Tangirala, DDG (Licensing Finance) is a member of the committee. DoT officials Ms Shahnawaz Alam, Mr Sanay Kumar, Mr Sanjeevan Sinha are part of the five-member committee.

The panel is expected to submit the report in the next seven days.
