BSNL on Thursday provided another trigger to the already competitive tariff ecosystem in India by launching range of new plans spanning multiple service offerings.
Under the mobile data services offerings, BSNL is offering free mobile data cards to subscribers locking in for longer period i.e. subscribers of 2 GB plan for 15 months, 10 GB plan for 10 months and unlimited plan for four months will get one 3G data card free.
Additionally BSNL launched a unlimited data plan priced at Rs.999 monthly rental and offers 10 GB data transfer. For 2G subscribers, an Rs.98 priced plan offers 2 GB data transfer per month. For CDMA subscribers, EV-DO cards are now available for Rs.2,500 and data services of speeds 3.1 mbps at Rs.750 per month.
CDMA 1X (NIC) cards will now be available Rs.2000 while unlimited internet service will be available for Rs.250 per rental.
The PSU also launched new plan offering free 100 minutes of video calling, 200 MB data and 2000 free SMS within 30 days of activation for new 3G prepaid subscribers. As a promotional offer, the video call rate has been reduced to 30 paise per minute for a period of 90 days.
Another plan for 2G prepaid services, offers 50 MB free data usage and 2000 SMS free for 30 days from date of activation.
BSNL also launched a new CUG scheme targeted towards friends and family offering customers to talk to two BSNL local number for 20 paise per minute and STD calls to BSNL numbers for 30 paise per minute.
The operator also launched 3 new special tariff vouchers for unlimited calls for 2G and 3G GSM prepaid customers with a validity of 1,7, and 30 days. The 1 day validity plan is priced at Rs.30, the 7 day validity plan is priced at Rs.150 and the 30 days validity plan is priced at Rs.500.
A new SMS pack priced at Rs.31 offers 3000 SMS per month.
For CDMA subscribers, BSNL has launched two new STVs offering unlimited on net local calls for RS.210 per month and unlimited on net STD calls for Rs.410 monthly rental. |
