DoT asks its key units to review TRAI’s new recommendations
TT Correspondent |  New Delhi |  04 Jun 2010

The DoT has asked its key units such as Licensing Finance, Wireless Planning Finance and Wireless Planning Coordination to examine the recently announced recommendations on 2G spectrum allocation and pricing by the country’s regulator, TRAI.

"It is desired that concerned wings in the licensing group -- Licensing Finance, Wireless Planning Finance and Wireless Planning Coordination -- may examine other recommendations to begin with which can be submitted for further decision on course of action to be adopted," sais a internal DoT note.

This is in addition to another five-member committee set up by DoT to review TRAI recommendations.
