Tata Teleservices and Research in Motion (RIM) launched the BlackBerry Curve 8530 in the Indian market for Tata Indicom’s CDMA subscribers.
As a promotional offer, Tata Indicom will offer the handset as part of a bundled offer wherein subscribers will be given free data services for two months. Subscribers will also be offered free live TV for the first three months. This offer will be valid till June 30, 2010.

The handset measuring 109 mm x 60 mm x 13.90 mm (L x W x D) and weighing 106 grams (including battery) includes an optical trackpad for an enhanced navigational experience. There is also a dedicated media key on the top of the handset for easy access to music and video-related features. The QWERTY-based handset is also Wi-Fi enabled. Through use of external memory, the handset can support up to 32 GB of data.
It is priced at Rs.18,990.
