TRAI comes up with consultation paper on ‘National Broadband Plan’

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) issued a consultation paper on ‘National Broadband Plan’ asking stakeholders to share their viewpoints on the subject by July 7, 2010.

The consultation paper is aimed at further fueling uptake and penetration of broadband services in India where the broadband penetration is just 0.74% as compared to tele-density of 52.74%.
