Bharti Airtel adds highest number of new subscribers in May

Indian GSM operators collectively added 11.25 million new subscribers in May month to scale past the 444 million mark. Bharti Airtel added 3 million new subscribers in the month while Vodafone Essar which had added the highest in April, 2010 recorded 2.59 million subscribers. Idea Cellular added 1.4 million subscribers while Aircel added 1.6 million subscribers. PSUs BSNL and MTNL added 1.04 million and 40,297 respectively.
