TT Correspondent |  New Delhi |  15 Jul 2010

Tata Teleservices (TTSL) has exited from the membership of Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) that is widely perceived to be the lobbying body for incumbent GSM operators namely Bharti Airtel, Idea Cellular and Vodafone Essar.

"Such is the voting process that even upon rejection by new members, the proposal still sails through, courtesy the voting by key older members," said Anand Dalal, vice-president, Tata Teleservices, in the resignation letter to COAI.
