ZTE claims success in world’s first MSF LTE/EPC Interoperability Tests
TT Correspondent |  New Delhi |  20 Jul 2010

ZTE Corp. announced the successful completion of MSF (MultiService Forum Tests) LTE/EPC Interoperability tests.

The Interoperability tests conducted by ZTE were performed in China in partnership with China Mobile and with Vodafone in Germany.

As part of the tests, ZTE provided its advanced equipment sets including LTE eNodeB equipment, Evolved Packet Core (EPC), and IP Multimedia Subsystems (IMS) components.

The tests analysed two different scenarios, single and interconnected laboratory environments. For tests conducted by Vodafone, ZTE was the exclusive vendor of eNodeB wireless equipment. ZTE’s solution passed interoperability tests with vendors including Starent, Bridgewater, NEC and other vendors.

With China Mobile, ZTE tested interoperability of the main LTE interfaces. It also concluded three roaming experiments between the two laboratories and realized what it claims to be industry’s first IMS LTE call under a multi-vendor interconnection setting.
