Motorola was a multinational telecommunications company based in Schaumburg, Illinois, United States (U.S.). After having lost $4.3 billion from 2007 to 2009, the company was divided into two independent public companies, Motorola Mobility and Motorola Solutions on January 4, 2011. Later Motorola Mobility officially becomes part of Lenovo. Lenovo acquired Motorola in February for $2.91 billion and on Thursday, October 30th it marks the finalization of the deal. Motorola is now a Lenovo company, but the brand will remain as a subsidiary of Lenovo with the same headquarter in Chicago.
