Samsung has launched the Galaxy Tab S2 LTE model in India at Rs. 39,400. The 9.7 inch voice-calling tablet is now available in retail outlets across the country. The device is available in Gold, Black, and White colour variants. Samsung is claiming this tablet as the world's slimmest tablet with a 5.6 mm thickness. The tablet measures 169x237.3x5.6 mm and weighs 392 grams.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 features a 9.7 inch QXGA Super Amoled display with 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution. The tablet is powered by Samsung Exynos 5433 octa-core processor (four cores with 1.9GHz + four cores with 1.3GHz) with 3GB RAM. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 runs the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and supports both 1800MHz Band 3 and 2300MHz Band 40 LTE bands in India.
Galaxy Tab S2 sports an 8 megapixel autofocus rear camera with f/1.9 aperture and a 2.1 megapixel front camera. It comes with 32 GB inbuilt storage and it can be further expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card. For connectivity, Samsung galaxy Tab S2 includes - 2G/ 3G, 4G/LTE, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.1 BLE, GPS, GLONASS and Micro-USB. Sensors featured are accelerometer, fingerprint scanner, gyroscope, compass, hall sensor, and RGB sensor. The device is power backed by a 5870 mAh battery that is rated to deliver up to 12 hours of talk time.
Samsung states that owners of the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 LTE, besides getting access to the Microsoft Office Suite, also get 100GB of free cloud storage with OneDrive for two years. Accessories including the Book cover keyboard and book cover will also be available for purchase soon. The tablet sports the company's recently announced feature - SideSync.

Samsung has also teamed up with Airtel to offer free 2GB of 4G Internet data per month for two months. In addition, the Samsung tablets as per the company would come preloaded with Galaxy Gifts worth over Rs. 31,000.
