Black Shark 2 with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor launched in India

Gaming phone Black Shark 2 has finally made inroads into the Indian smartphone market. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor and runs on Android Pie 9 operating system.

It is successor to the company’s Black Shark gaming phone which was launched in 2018. Black Shark 2 has a response rate of 240Hz and comes equipped with Liquid Cool 3.0 technology to regulate the handset’s temperature.

The Black Shark 2 comes in two variants in India. The base model with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at Rs 39,999. There is another model with 12GB RAM coupled with 256GB storage will be retailing at Rs 49,999.

The smartphone will be available on Flipkart in India. It will go on sale on June 4 on the e-tailer’s website. Black Shark 2 comes in two colour options - Shadow Black and Frozen Silver.

The smartphone features a 6.39-inch AMOLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 1080x2340 pixel resolution. Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 octa-core processor, the Black Shark 2 phone comes with Adreno GPU 640 support.

The Black Shark 2 features an in-display fingerprint sensor and comes equipped with liquid cooling 3.0 technology which uses liquid-cooled plate and liquid cooled tube for reducing the core temperature of CPU by up to 14 degree celsius. The company has also incorporated a unique X-style antenna design for better signal reception.

The handset houses a 4000mAh battery and runs Android 9 Pie operating system. The device packs 6GB and 12GB of RAM paired with 128GB and 256GB internal storage. Wi-Fi, 4G, VoLTE, Bluetooth version 5.0 and 3.5mm headphone jack are the connectivity options offered by the phone.

On the camera front, users will get a dual-lens setup at the back. It consists of a 48MP primary sensor with f/1.75 aperture and a 12-megapixel secondary sensor with f/2.2 aperture. For selfies, the smartphone offers a 20-megapixel camera with f/2.o aperture at the front.
