An analysis of the trends in subscriber base additions or deletions from the period June’08 to June’09 reveals that wireline subscribers are on a rise in metros namely Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata. In fact in Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai the trend is on a positive mode even when compared on a qoq basis.

Other than the metros, Bihar, MP and UP (W) are also witnessing positive growth in subscriber additions.
