PSU BSNL maintains clear lead in the wireline segment with more than 77% market share. MTS is seen registering most severe drop in subscriber additions with a negative rate of 14.1%. 

Bharti Airtel which is registering highest subscriber additions from rural areas in the mobile services space unfortunately does not hay any presence in the rural segment for wireline services. It is however registering strongest growth in the wireline segment subscriber additions.
