Tata Teleservices (TTSL) announced crossing the 75 million subscriber base mark with addition of 2.1 million subscribers in August, 2010.

The company scaled the mark within five and half years of coming into existence. The precise subscriber base of the operator is 76,946,216 subscribers, as on 31 August 2010. The growth is over 100% annually when considered that the subscriber base was 38 million in July, 2009.

With the achievement, TTSL now stands ahead of PSU BSNL which has 73,781,448 as on July, 2010.
