Huawei Technologies announced the launch of a new digital transaction store, called Digital Shopping Mall (DSM) to provide operators with a unified service platform that aggregates mobile internet applications, enables more revenue generation, and ultimately delivers a better cloud-based service experience to end users, says the company.
According to Huawei, as a hosted digital shopping mall with pre-selected, integrated telecom services, applications and media content, an operator’s initial investment is lowered, and operators can go-to-market faster and start generating revenue sooner, without having to handle application/content aggregation or partner management.
“The launch of the new Digital Shopping Mall demonstrates Huawei’s commitment to providing open application environments, intelligent operation platforms and fast professional services, to enable operators to increase their operating income, improve efficiency, and ultimately achieve business success,” said George Huang, Vice President of Huawei Software.
Huawei’s DSM provides a variety of cloud services, such as music, e-reading, and games. It supports multiple devices, including smartphones, feature phones, and special terminals, and is open to an array of primary terminal systems, such as Android, RIM, and Symbian. DSM also enables operators to offer flexible service packages and allows end users to have a variety of payment options. |
