Tata DOCOMO lines up 3G services at 66 paise per minute

Tata DOCOMO announced the launch of its 3G services in India pricing the services at 66 paise per minute.

Presently the services have been launched in 9 circles and the company further said that it is in talks with PSUs BSNL and MTNL to ink roaming pacts for the rest of the circles.

The 3G services are available in Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra (excluding Mumbai), Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Madhya-Pradesh-Chhattisgarh and UP (West).

"We plan to cover all the circles through our roaming pacts by the end of this year," Deepak Gulati, Executive President, Mobility, Tata Teleservices Ltd (TTSL), told reporters on Tuesday.

The 3G services tariff plan range from Rs 350 to Rs 2000 including monthly limit on minutes as well as data usage. For example, in a monthly tariff package of ` 2,000 the subscriber would get 5,000 minutes of voice calls, along with data usage of up to 2 GB per month.
