Airtel to raise internet charges
TT Correspondent |  New Delhi |  29 Dec 2010

Airtel is set to increase browsing charges for its internet services from 30p/50 KB to 30p/20 KB with effect from January 5 next year. This amounts to more than doubling of surfing charges.

Airtel's Live WAP Portal, which has been free of charge, will be charged at the rate of 30p/20 KB with effect from December 28, 2010.

The basic package amounts have not been raised, so small users may not be affected. Airtel has a package that offers, for instance, upto 2 GB free for Rs 98 a month.
