ZTE has on Wednesday said that its iOTN End-to-End Seamless OTN Transport Solution has won the InfoVision Award for Core & MetrNetwork Innovation and Advances at the Broadband World Forum in Paris, France.
The iOTN solution combines WDM transport, ROADMs, OTN switching, centralized-carrier Ethernet switching, control plane and OAM across a network into a single, converged platform. The solution has a low power consumption rate and will help operators build end-to-end, seamless OTN-transport platforms.
“We value innovation, it’s part of our central strategy,” said ZTE Senior Vice President Chen Jie, “This award affirms that ZTE is at the forefront of developing cutting-edge technologies.”
To date, more than 30,000 ZTE iOTNs have been provided to global operators, including Portugal Telecom, StarHub (Singapore) China Mobile and China Telecom. As of the end of June 2011, ZTE had delivered bearer network products to 600 network operators in over 120 countries.
The Broadband World Forum is the world’s largest annual broadband event, attracting more than 10,000 decision-makers from across the globe. Beginning in 2007, ZTE has been honored several times at the event, including winning awards for its GPON, SDR, IxWDM, ZXUN xGW and ZXA10 C300 products. |
