Aseervatham Achary additional personal secretary of  former telecom minister A Raja on Monday said that Unitech's Sanjay Chandra, DB Group's Shahid Balwa and Vinod Goenka were close to Raja and played a part in 2G conspiracy.  He said that the DMK leader Kanimozhi was also a frequent visitor to his office.

The statement of Achary is an admissible evidence in court and could spell trouble for them. Pointing finger at Unitech's Sanjay Chandra and DB Group's Shahid Balwa and Vinod Goenka, he said that they shared a long association with Raja since his tenure as environment minister.

"A Raja allocated spectrum by Tamil Nadu's ration shop mechanism," said Achary.

Achary had earlier Identified Raja's signature in letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh advocating a first-come, first-serve basis in the allocation of spectrum.
