Mig33 inks pact with G’Five Mobile, Intex Technologies, Zen Mobile in India

Mig33, one of the world’s largest mobile communities and host of the new mig33 miniblog, on Thursday said that it has recently struck deals within India with several handset companies like G’Five Mobile, Intex Technologies and Zen Mobile to have its popular social entertainment app come pre-loaded on some of the hottest mobile devices on Java and Android platforms.

 

With these partnerships mig33 will leverage the popularity of these top brands and gain further consumer exposure strengthening its reach in the market. The app is already a very popular virtual world in tier 2 and tier 3 cities and delivered over 300 billion messages and over 185 million virtual gifts globally in 2011.

 

In return, handset companies gain access to mig33’s 55 million registered users and thriving virtual economy, with a potentially lucrative revenue stream resulting. With this development, mig33 extends its reach to over 5 million handsets in the market in 2012.

 

“Our popularity with mobile-first users in tier 2 and tier 3 cities in India is encouraging us to build a more pervasive reach of mig33. We expect handset partnerships to leverage this opportunity in a potentially strong India market.
