Putting to rest all the speculations about its launch, Nokia finally unveiled Nokia PureView 808 in India at Rs 29,999.
“We outsource certain chores, and for that we have to give price related information. So, in such cases, we furnish a dummy price, and not the actual (true) price. In this case also (the one mentioned in the source code), Rs 29,999 is a dummy price and the 808 Pureview will not be available for this price,” a spokesman for Nokia said.
Nokia 808 PureView won accolades and awards at the Mobile Phone Convention in Barcelona earlier this year and is equipped with PureView technology which allows it to capture really sharp images. The phone is equipped with a 41 megapixel camera. According to Nokia’s press release the first markets to begin selling the Nokia 808 PureView include Russia and India.
The smartphone comes with a large, high resolution 41 megapixel sensor camera, powered by high performance Carl Zeiss optics and new pixel oversampling technology.
At high resolution 38 megapixels maximum, the phone will allow users to capture an image, then zoom, reframe, crop and resize afterwards. This means that it’s possible to shoot professional images that were only possible with a DSLR with the smartphone. It also allows users to make the best of low light conditions while taking pictures with their phone. |
