ZTE, a publicly-listed global provider of telecommunications equipment, network solutions and mobile devices, on Tuesday said that its first LTE modem, the ZTE MF821D, is available in Sweden. The modem uses a web-based user interface and will be released in collaboration with Telenor Sweden.
“We have waited a long time to release a 4G modem that makes it easier for end-users to enjoy high speed internet access. Telenor’s decision to start selling the modem on a larger scale on the Swedish market is proof that the operators, the direct link to the end-user, acknowledge that the 4G market is maturing,” said Nicklas Sivander, ZTE Sweden terminal group.
The ZTE MF821D is the smallest 4G modem in the European market and offers a simple web-based user-interface with support for advanced features. This means that the modem quickly and automatically connects to the internet without the hassle of installing extensive software. Instead, the user can start immediately and surf at 4G speeds. The modem’s rotatable USB connection makes it suitable for all types of computers and can also, in some cases, provide better reception speed.
“The goal is to provide our customer with the best surfing service possible and the new 4G modem from ZTE makes it easier than ever to connect and reach the high speeds that our infrastructure enables. The easy installation and the educational web interface also provides us with happier customers and fewer calls to our helpdesk,” said Jonas Lindström, Marketing Manager for Mobile Services at Telenor Sweden. |
