Weak demand forces Apple to cut orders for iPhone 5 components-Report
TT Correspondent |  |  14 Jan 2013

With the sales of Apple iPhone 5 not being as impressive as expected, the company is believed to have cut orders for the new iPhone components including its screens, reports Bloomberg.

The report said that for the January-March quarter orders for iPhone 5 screens have gone down by almost 50 percent suggesting that the much-hyped iPhone 5 has not been very popular among the smartphone users.

The experts suggest that the declining demand for iphone 5 could give a definite edge to Apple’s rival Samsung.

The South Korean tech giant is already leading Apple as world's largest smartphone vendor by market share.
