Government working on tie-ups with six countries in telecom sector-Report
TT Correspondent |  |  11 Feb 2013

Keeping in view of attracting foreign investment, India is working on plans for tie- ups with countries like US, Japan, South Korea, Israel, Belgium and Sweden in telecom sector, according to Economic Times.

The report says that telecom mister Kapil Sibal will be visiting these regions in the backdrop of making new telecom policy a success. But the interesting fact is that China and Taiwan, world’s top telecom equipment manufacturing countries have failed to figure in the internal list of the government.

A meeting on February 13 with FICCI, CII, Assocham and industry bodies is part of this exercise, the report said.
