If the great focus that recent launch of Micromax A116 Canvas HD and Lava Xolo A1000 received is any indication, the Indian Market is going to be dominated by the mid-range budget smartphones. But one must not forget Samsung’s Galaxy Grand Duos which actually starts off the race for this segment.
 
But the advantage that Micromax A116 Canvas HD and Lava Xolo A1000 have over Galaxy Grand Duos is that they both are cheaper at Rs. 13990 while the former is selling at Rs. 21, 500. Though, all of them have the similar features and specifications.
 
Samsung’s Galaxy Grand Duos that, though comes with 5 inch body, but lackes it doesn’t power and display of high end smartphones like Galaxy S3, Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S2. But it looks impressive.

Micromax’s first quad core processor phone, A116 Canvas HD went for sale  February 14 and is powered by MediaTek’s MT6589 1.2 GHz quad core processor and run on Android Jelly Bean. The XOLO A1000 runs on Android Jelly Bean (4.1) and is powered by Dual Core 1 GHz processor which offers fast application launches, smooth performance and fast user interface (UI) responsiveness. It has a 1GB RAM to let customers run various simultaneous applications smoothly and do more with this device.
