Bharat Bambawale, Bharti Airtel's brand director who was responsible for the success of , company's 'Jo Mera Hain Wo Tera Hain' campaign, has resigned, according to Economic Times. A company spokesperson confirmed his exit to the newspaper.
Bambawale who had joined Bharti in August 2011 was looking after Airtel’s brand across India and Africa.
In January, after serving the company for 15 years, Sanjay Kapoor, Bharti Airtel’s CEO (India and South Asia) had quit giving way for Gopal Vittal who has been working as director (special projects) since April 2012. Kapoor will, however continue to be with the Bharti group as a director on the board of Indus Towers and Bharti Global.
Last month, as part of massive organizational restructuring Bharti Airtel had said that it would split its business into eights hubs to be controlled by Ajai Puri who will now be the Director (Market Operations). Currently the company has three regional hubs.
"The new organisation design is aimed at furthering the company's initiatives to build a more connected organisation, which is closer to the market place and is able to deliver a world-class experience to customers," Bharti Airtel had said in a statement.
The company recently had appointed Manoj Kohli as its new Managing Director. The hubs will report to Ajai Puri, who has been elevated to the newly created position of Director (Market Operations).
