  Acer on Monday launched world’s first 8-inch Windows 8 based tablet Iconia W3 with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. It has price tag of at $379.
Powered by Intel's dual-core 1.8GHz Atom Z2760 processor, Acer Iconia W3 comes pre-installed with Microsoft Office Home and Student 2013.It will available and comes in 32GB and 64GB vaiants. It comes with 8-hour battery life.
It has front- and rear-facing 2 megapixel webcams and micro-HDMI port for connecting to a TV or external display.
Acer chairman and CEO J T Wang said that the company is prepared to collaborate with industry leaders to create innovative products with better user experience. Acer said tat it wants to be category leaders in tablets and smartphones.
It also launched Liquid S1 smartphone with 5.7-inch HD display and 88 degree wide angle camera, a quad core processor, Float app, Float call.
Acer’s flagship Aspire S7 notebook was also launched. The device have dual torque hinge for the touch operation, with Gorrila glass construction, 33% longer battery life, WQ HD 560 by 1200 pixel display that can be Acer's equivalent of Apple's retina display, 60 frames per second video rendering for better picture quality.
