Google launches Nexus 5 smartphone along with Android 4.4 (KitKat), to be available in India soon

Google has globally launched Nexus 5, a smartphone developed with LG. I also introduced and its latest operating system Android 4.4 (KitKat). The company called Nexus 5 as the slimmest and fastest Nexus phone ever made

Nexus 5 is available unlocked and without a contract, on Google Play in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Japan and Korea starting October 31. It s price starts at $349.

Google’s official blog says that it would be coming to India soon without mentioning the price and launch date, but as per a listing on Google's Play Store,  Nexus 5 will cost Rs 28,999 and Rs 32,999 for the 16 and 32GB variants in the market,

The deice with 5” Full HD display will come with Full HD (1080p) resolution and protected by Gorilla Glass 3 panel. It us powered by the 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor under the hood, with 2GB RAM.

The device will be available in 16 and 32GB versions (with no microSD support) and come in white and black colours Nexus 5 also keeps you connected at blazing speeds with 4G/LTE and ultra fast wifi.

“RAM (or memory) is one of the most expensive parts of a phone, and now Android can run comfortably on the 512MB of RAM devices that are popular in much of the world, bringing the latest goodies in Android 4.4 within reach for the next billion smartphone users” , Google said.
