  How would you describe your sunglasses doubling up as your mobile charger? It could be a perfect blend of fashion and technology.
This has been turned into reality by India born designer Sayalee Kaluskar along with Ramiro Ramirez. They achieved this feat by attaching a thin solar cell to each arm of the sunglasses.
After remaining in the sun throughout the day, the sunglasses arms containing the battery can be removed and used as charger “ by allowing them to to transfer the electricity they've collected to your devices” , according to PSFK.com.
The PSFK.com report said that the power generated thus is enough to keep the mobile functional, though it may charge it fully. |
