Nokia sees growth through Lumia range, starts 2014 with Lumia1320, Lumia 525

Keeping its promise to expand its Lumia portfolio in India, the Finnish handset maker, Nokia has officially announced its two new Lumia smartphones for Indian market, Nokia Lumia 1320 with price tag of Rs. 23,999 and Nokia Lumia 525 priced at Rs 10,339.

Both the phones will be available from January 14 in Orange, White, Yellow and Black colours.

Last month P Balaji, Managing Director, Nokia India said that 2013 has been a good year for Nokia Lumia in India. The company launched 9 new devices in the market in 2013 and each device was received well by the consumers. With the launch of these two phones new this month the company is confident that more and more people will switch to Lumia.

The Nokia Lumia 1320 runs on Windows Phone 8 with Lumia Black and also features third Live Tile in Start menu. The Nokia Lumia 1320 comes with 6-inch IPS LCD display with 720x1280 pixels resolution and boasts Nokia's ClearBlack technology. The display has a pixel density of 245ppi (pixels per inch) with 1.7GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor along with 1GB of RAM.

The phone has 8GB inbuilt storage which can be expandable up to 64GB with microSD card with 7GB of SkyDrive cloud storage. The phone also has 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash with 3400mAh battery which can deliver up to 672 hours of standby time and up to 25 hours of talktime.

Nokia has also launched the successor to the Lumia 520 smartphone in India called Nokia Lumia 525 with 4-inch (800 x 480) display. The Nokia Lumia 525 runs on Windows Phone 8 with the Lumia Black update. The phone has dual-core 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor alongside 1GB of RAM with with 8GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded up to 64GB with microSD card.

The company is also offering 7GB of free SkyDrive cloud storage with 5-megapixel rear camera but no flash or front-facing camera. The phone has 1430mAh battery which can deliver up to 17 hours of talk time and up to 336 hours of standby time.
