The Moto G which is likely to come to India in the last week of this month has joined other flagship smartphones HTC One, Samsung GALAXY S4, and the Sony Z Ultra with Google Play editions.
The budget phone would arrive in India with Android 4.4 KitKat if a Omio News Blog is to be believed.
Motorola launched the Moto G in November with 4.5-inch HD 'edge-to-edge' display. It is priced at $179 for 8GB model and $199 for 16GB model in the US. The Motorola Moto G has water-resistant nano-coating on the inside and outside.
It will enter Indian market in early 2014 though its Indian price has not been revealed. Available from November in Brazil and parts of Europe, Moto G will be coming to India U.S., Southeast Asia, the Middle East in early 2014, the company said at the time of launch.
The Moto G has a 4.5-inch HD 'edge-to-edge' display with a resolution of 720x1280 pixels (translating to a pixel density of 329ppi) and is Powered by a quad-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 (Cortex-A7) processor. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 screen. The Moto G has a 2070mAh battery, which Motorola claims can deliver up to 30 percent more talktime than the Apple iPhone 5s.
The Moto G comes with 1GB of RAM. On the optics front. It sports a 5-megapixel rear camera along with an LED flash and also includes a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The rear camera supports HD (720p) video recording.
