Ever thought of a smartph0ne that can protect your email, movements and phone calls from spying by unknown persons? A new smartphone called Blackphone may soon be in your hands which can do all this.
Blackphone has been designed by two Switzerland based groups known as Silent Circle and Geeksphone, according to a Guardian report.
Phil Zimmerman, the co-founder and President of Silent Circle has also created an email encryption program called Pretty Good Privacy. Another man who contributed to this smartphone is Javier Aguera, an engineering student from Madrid. He is the co-founder and CEO of Geeksphone.
The team behind the creation of Blackphone also includes Jon Callas and Mike Janke. Jon Callas is co-founder and CTO of Silent Circle while Mike Janke is a CEO and also a co-founder of Silent Circle.
The sleek Blackphone is like anyother smartphone with unspecified screen display, camera, and casing. With focus on privacy Blackphone will focus on privacy will land in users hand as unlocked.
It will work with any GSM carrier and will come with PrivatOS,the Blackphones Android based operating system. It has the Android apps which are available on current Android phones.
According to online reports pre-booking for the Blackphone will begin next month at the Mobile World Congress conference. |
