The Moto X was launched in August last year and was initially available in US only. The smartphone initially ran on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean; however Motorola rolled out the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update in November last year. Moto X is now officially available in India starting Rs. 23,999. It will be exclusively available via the e-commerce website Flipkart. The Moto X launch comes a few weeks after the successful launch of Moto G. Notably, the Moto X will be only available in 16GB variant, as the online retailer earlier revealed that the 32GB variant of the Moto X is not headed to India just yet. Moto X will be available in black, white, red and turquoise variants, while the wooden-based teak and walnut variants are available at Rs 25,999.
The Moto X comes with 4.7-inch display. It is powered by a 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8960Pro Snapdragon processor along with 2GB RAM. The inbuilt storage is 16GB, which is non-expandable. Moto X features 10 megapixel camera with LED Flash and full HD videos in HDR. In the front is a 2 megapixel camera capable of full HD video chat. Motorola has packed several sensor in this device -Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Proximity, Temperature, Barometer and E-Compass.
There is no Radio chip on this device but one can easily enjoy streaming music or videos using the Dual-band WiFi network support. Moto X has recently got the Android 4.4 Jelly Bean update. Motorola has packed a 2200 mAh battery in the phone and has a water-resistant coating. Buyers get free 50GB of Google Drive storage with Moto X.
Moto X offers several distinct features like a new home screen notifications which is exclusive to this device only, this feature shows the time, unread messages and emails, missed calls and other notifications even when the screen is turned off. The device is preloaded with the Migrate app, which allows users to transfer data like contacts, photos, videos and even call log and SMSs from any Android 4.2-powered phone. Its unique Twist Twice feature immediately launches the camera to capture a moment. Apart from that, the phone comes with a unique always-on voice assistant that listens to the commands even if the user is not operating the handset.
Currently only the Moto X available in white and black variants and will be shipped within 2-3 business days. The other five variants will be available in the second week of April.
The online retailer has also revealed few launch day offers for the Moto X which includes Rs 1,000 cashback on EMI; 70 percent off on Moto X cases and 10 lucky customers will have a chance to get 100 percent cashback on their purchase. |
