Vodafone India, has announced that 3G roaming services will be offered to its customers in Punjab circle with immediate effect. This announcement comes post the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) ruling last week that 3G intra-circle (ICR) roaming services will be available once again in the circles.
Also, earlier today, Idea and Airtel also announced 3G Roaming services for their Punjab users.
In addition to offering customers (both pre and post paid) 3G roaming facilities, Vodafone Punjab is also offering multiple packages to suit customer requirements. 3G services will be available in Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Jagraon, Kharar, Malerkotla, Nabha, Nawanshahr, Panchkula, Mohali & Zirakpur with immediate effect and will be rolled out in other cities in a phased manner

With the launch of 3G services in Punjab, Vodafone India’s 3G footprint is present pan India excluding Odisha, with its own network and through Intra Circle Roaming (ICR) agreements with other operators. As part of its strategy to democratize data, Vodafone India has been engaging with customers to use mobile internet, and educating current and potential users about how internet can add significant value to them.
Vodafone India has also built content partnerships, simplified pricing, conducted retailer education programmes apart from offering a wide choice of packages to customers, basis their interests and consumption patterns.
