Another Chinese smartphone brand, OnePlus is set to enter the Indian mobile market by the year end. OnePlus will initially be launching its flagship smartphone One. However, the price and availability are not yet announced.
The OnePlus One smartphone is already on sale in the US market on AT&T and T-Mobile at $299 for 16GB and $349 for 64GB. In India, the 16GB smartphone could be priced under Rs 20,000. Which will give straight competition to the recently launched Xiaomi Mi3 smartphone. As there is no 64GB smartphone in the market, it may come up with 32GB variant.
OnePlus One sports a 5.5 inch LTPS IPS display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered with 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with Adreno 330 GPU. It has 3GB RAM and runs the latest Android KitKat operating system. The another good part of this device is its LTE connectivity.
It also has a 13 megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash light with shutter speed of 0.3 seconds and a 5 megapixel front camera for selfies and video calling. It is power backed with 3100 mAh battery that ensures almost a day full of life.
Other Chinese brands such as Xiaomi, Lenovo, ZTE, Gionee, Oppo and others are eyeing the growing Indian handset market and have been received quite well by the people. |
