Samsung launches Galaxy Star 2, Galaxy Star Advance and Galaxy Ace NXT smartphones with free Internet offer

Samsung Electronics, on Thursday announced the launch of three new smartphones: Samsung Galaxy Star 2, Galaxy Star Advance and Galaxy Ace NXT in India. Samsung has introduced the new devices with an attractive offer of free internet from Vodafone for the first six months. This data offer of up to 200 MB per month will eliminate the initial data cost incurred to the user, giving consumers the liberty to experience internet at no additional cost through Samsung smartphones.

We believe in cutting across language and data cost barriers to ensure every consumer has access to the world of smartphones. Especially created for the Indian market Galaxy Star 2, Galaxy Star Advance and Galaxy Ace NXT have been launched to provide a larger set of consumers with the experience of superior mobile technologies and richer internet experience at an affordable price”, said Asim Warsi, Vice President, Marketing, Mobile & IT at Samsung India.

The new smartphones deliver a delightful combination of unique aesthetics and compelling features. Powered by the latest Android Kit Kat and Samsung’s proprietary Touch Wiz user interface, the devices are optimized for superior performance and multi-tasking. Samsung Galaxy Star 2, Galaxy Star Advance, and Galaxy Ace NXT come with a new hardware platform which sports a “One Touch Multi-Tasking” hardware button, enabling consumers to quickly toggle between various apps & get a seamless experience. Galaxy Star 2 and Galaxy Star Advance sport a premium leather finish back. Samsung has also caught on to the increasing need of consumers to capture images in low light conditions, particularly amongst the youth, by providing an LED flash with Galaxy Star Advance and Galaxy Ace NXT.

                                       

Galaxy Star 2, Galaxy Star Advance, and Galaxy Ace NXT support 12 Indian languages including Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Guajarati, Punjabi, Urdu, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Oriya, and Assamese, enabling consumers to take advantage of a wide range of applications and exciting content in the language of their choice. The consumer has a choice of not only accessing these language apps from Google Play Store but also Samsung’s home-grown Samsung Galaxy Apps store. Apps in 12 languages are available across various genres ranging from utility, devotion, productivity to horoscope.

Samsung Galaxy Star 2 is priced at Rs. 5,100 and is available in White and Grey colours. Both Galaxy Star Advance and Galaxy Ace NXT are priced at Rs. 7,400 respectively and are available in Black & White colours.

Galaxy Star 2
Galaxy Star 2 has an upgraded 3.5 inch display. It will also sport a 2 MP camera with advanced camera modes. The device is a 2G variant that can be complemented with Wi-Fi access for fast web browsing. It also comes with free access to premium games from Gameloft.

Galaxy Star Advance
The Samsung Galaxy Star Advance comes with a powerful 3MP camera with flash for photo enthusiasts. Its large 4.3 inch screen makes it an ideal choice for anyone seeking endless entertainment from their device.

Galaxy Ace NXT
This smartphone is Samsung’s entry-level 3G phone. With a 4 inch display and a 3MP camera with flash, this device is optimized for superior Internet and multi-tasking experience.
